Homeworld: A Draconis Combine world along the Periphery
Background: Kenji was raised in a traditional Japanese home along the periphery. When he was old enough, he left home and joined up with the DCMS and was trained to pilot 'Mechs. When Pirates raided, his unit, stationed on his homeworld was always ready. One such pirate raid happened on the primary moon of his homeworld, where his parents had just moved to. The small contingent of DCMS 'Mechs wasn't a sufficient defense and they were wiped out. The Pirates went through the town recklessly, killing everyone in their way, including Kenjis parents. Kenji blamed himself and the DCMS for having the rest of that unit away on a training mission to familiarize them with their new Nova Cat allies. He transferred to a Nova Cat world, challenged a Clan Mechwarrior to a trial of possession for his 'Mech, as was allowed, and won. He had nearly killed the man, but he had his Shadow Cat. Shortly after that, he deserted, leaving Draconis space and searching for a way to satisfy his honor and thirst for vengeance at the same time.
