Keith Green?

Anybody here familar with the ministry of Keith Green and his music? Powerful lyrics, challenging message. I was just sad I didn't know about him while he was living on Earth, but then again I was like 6 when he went "Home". I came across him one afternoon at W....Mart when I was depressed and prayed for God to lead me to a CD, and I kept seeing this guy called "Keith Green" and he had this big "Afro" and I am like I don't think so. (As this was well just like 3 years ago.) Anyways I felt like God kept nudging me towards his cd set and then I had to get the other collection set when it came out shortly afterwards. So if you have a Keith Green testimony, please share it with us.

Keith's music is still played in my cd player today. I heard about him 15 years ago when I first got saved and have loved hearing the truth, humor and pure passion he has for lost souls. I used to receive his magazine from the Last Days Ministries that had some awesome articles in it. He has been a true blessing to me. I wish more Christians could hear his music.

I'm 16 years old and I love Keith Green Music!!! I have his 2 CD best hits collection and I think he was an extrememly studly guy!!!

I saw Keith Green in concert in Des Moines, IA. just 30 days before he went home to be with the Lord. What a great night! I miss him, and I'm glad that we still have his music. It is as powerful, and beautiful today as it was when he was still with us.

I believe you can still get the newsletters by going to his wife's continuing ministry simply http://www.KeithGreen.com and I think she continued the ministry with more outreach to the youth. That was the last time I checked it out a while back.

I had the privilege of seeing Keith Green live several times (the first time when I was a new Christian in 1978) He had a tremendous impact on my life.

I don't really like his style but I love his lyrics and his heart. I just got done doing an internship at a ministry in Kansas City that Keith's wife works at. Some of my friends got to go over to her house and play his old piano!

I would suggest listening to more than two songs. Get ahold of one of his abums, I suggest either "No Compromise" or "So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt." Sit down and listen from beginning to end. Really listen to the message and here Keith's heart. Then come back and telll me you still don't like him. I think you'll have a change of heart. It happened to me I was a high school kid who only wanted to rock. When I really sat down and listened to Keith Green, I was hooked.

Keith's Green's ministry amazes me. I think laity should read his biography to see what living out the Christian life is really like. Also, his music was wonderful and innovative. Some of his songs are a little "eh," but most of them are on-target.
