Game: Aldonadi

Name: Keisha Dar

Age: 29

Race: human female

Appearance: A tall, slender, and beautiful, dark skinned woman with very short hair. Her hair is black, and her eyes are a deep, warm brown. Keisha has numerous ear piercings, and wears earrings all up and down both ears. The bottom earring dangles, and the rest are small stones or gold rings. She wears tight black pants, and loose, colorful tunics with tight sleeves that are typically shoved up over her elbows. She wears a large ring on her right pointer finger, and several smaller rings, all of gold, some with stones in them. Keisha is left handed. Her sturdy boots are black and laced over the ankle.

Personality: Keisha is a meditative, sometimes moody person, spending much time alone. She comes across as aloof, cool, elegant, and calm. She can sit for hours in meditation, with only her sword and dragon for company. Her confidence shines through in the way she walks, and the confidence of her speech. She comes across as quiet, but wise when she chooses to talk. She laughs rarely, but when she does, it is with her entire being. She knows how to be fully present in the moment, like one who studies martial arts for a lifetime.

Profession: Swordswoman of Aldonadi

Alignment: Good.

Background: Keisha’s mother died in childbirth, and she lost her father as a young girl. Her village was going through hard times, and had little patience or time for an extra mouth to feed. A swordsman of the Aldonadi traveled through the village when Keisha was only seven years old. She was drawn to this older man, and begged him to take her with him on his journeys. After spending some time with the child, he saw that she might have the strength to become a swordswoman. And so he took her as his first apprentice. Kyle, for so he was named, was a gentle master, and Keisha felt parented for the first time in her life. She gave the sword all her love and attention, and listened avidly to Kyle’s teachings. Kyle was a stout man with pale skin, blue eyes, and a long beard, streaked with gray. He braided his beard in order to keep it out of the way, and never answered when Keisha asked why he kept it so long. When pushed, he said that everyone must retain at least a little bit of mystery.

When Keisha reached puberty, Kyle felt that it was time for her to build her very own sword. They spent days in preparation. She purified her body with soaps and special oils. She purified her spirit with days of fasting and meditation. And finally, they built the fire in which they would forge the sword that she would partner with for life. She was told how to focus on her power, on her wishes, on what would please her as a partner. And despite her attempt to focus on strength and speed, she was continually reminded of a recurring dream she'd had of dragons flying the skies. Finally, she gave in to these dreams, and put all her power into her joy at that image. The forging took days, and she was barely able to stand when she finally quelched the sword one final time. Her arm shaking with fatigue, she held the sword aloft. The pommel, shaped like a sleek dragon, wings folded to protect her hand. The eyes glowing golden, the light of the sun shining oddly on the dark blade. She looked closely and could see what appeared to be tracks along the blade, and she smiled to see it.

That night, still exhausted, but excited by her creation, Kyle bonded her new sword to her. She drew her new sword, held it to the sky, and named it Talon. She concentrated on the power thrumming through Talon's blade, and heard a soft shooshing sound. She looked down to see that an armor of dragon scales had grown all over her body. Kyle chuckled at the sight, but quickly stifled it, and held up a mirror so she could see the draconian helmet, and the shimmering, bluish-grey scales all over her body. Keisha turned this way and that, admiring how much the warrior she appeared, while inside her heart she trembled with fear that she didn't deserve such great beauty and power.

Weapon: Aldonadi sword named Talon. Talon gives Keisha the ability to have dragon scale armor, and the powers of a blue dragon's lightening shimmering along the blade.

Magic: minor abilities TBD.
