  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just because some of us are married, doesn't mean we don't have dreams. So, I'm copying a thread from Singles for us here in LSHO.

What's your dream job?

What is your dream place to visit or live?

What's* your dream date?

*Question adjusted to be "what" instead of "who," since us married folk still date but there's no question with who we will be on dates.

What's your dream job? I'm not going to lie. Being a SAHM has never been a dream of mine, though it definitely has some perks. I would love to be a published author. And maybe help run a family business, since Puffca would also like to start a business. I'd also like the U.S. to be like some other countries and have everyone register their baby's name with approval being necessary. Of course, I would like to be the official approving names. :D

What is your dream place to visit or live?
Germany. I have always wanted to visit Germany. London would be awesome, too. ETA: Those are to travel. I wasn't paying attention to the "live" part. I'm not sure. Somewhere that would be gentle to Puffca, with no allergy inducing nonsense, but also pleasant for me. Problem is that I like the areas that cause allergies for him. Hmmm. I'll have to think on that one.

What's* your dream date?
Definitely traveling somewhere, just me and Puffca at a cafe in Europe. That would be awesome. I think staying in a cabin in the woods would be awesome for a weekend date.

What's your dream job? I would like to illustrate and write children's books. I would also like to design wedding dresses and baby clothes. All while being an interior designer specializing in children's rooms and nurseries.

What is your dream place to visit or live? Switzerland or Italy to live and or visit; They are both beautiful countries and the people are really nice. I would also like to visit Ireland and Australia and Japan. And Alaska and Hawaii I also wouldn't mind living on the coast of Ga. or in the house I still own in Ga. It has a lot of nice history and beautiful views.

What's* your dream date?
biking or hiking- something outdoorsy and a picnic

What's your dream job?
-I still plan to go to grad school and then do mental health counseling. I have become even more interested in it since seeing what LMHC's have been able to do to improve the lives of the clients I currently work with.

What is your dream place to visit or live?
-I actually kind of like where I am. We have all the seasons, beaches nearby, cool places to hike, lots of Kirk's family around, good hospitals, and several big cities not to far away that we can visit. We also don't have the bugs, snakes, alligators, etc that I'm used to dealing with in the south. If I want to walk with my dog or my child near a pretty lake, I don't have to worry about them getting eaten. I don't have to worry about whether or not a scorpion will climb in my bag at the beach. Yeah.

But... if we were to ever move, probably somewhere like TN, NC, GA - near the mountains. The only problem is I don't know about the bugs and medical care available in those places. I've had relatives that lived in the mountains and the hospitals and doctors they dealt with were just plain scary.

What's* your dream date?
-A road trip exploring the US :)

I hope it's OK to ask, you guys live in Indiana, right? I HATE bugs, and that's one of the major deterrents to me being outdoors as much as I'd like around here (DE is basically a tidal swamp/forest).

This for me, too!

Yep, that's where we are. There are mosquitoes - just FYI. I just avoid them. It seems like they are not an issue if you avoid the times they are bad or use bug spray. And of course when you're hiking or doing outdoorsy activities, you still have to worry about ticks.

I could totally see you as a professional singer.
And come visit me in the UK, it's lovely.

Ireland is lush. I wish I was leaving a week later so I could go on the Cork trip with T. I really want to see more of Ireland.

Thanks! And I totally forgot that you're over there :) What are your impressions of the country, both good and bad? What are your pro's and con's?

In general I like England. I haven't seen as much of it as I hoped. Just London, Dover, Birmingham and Worchester. The English seem to be a bit more disconnected and kind of keep to themselves. The Welsh are much more open and friendly. More laid back. But I could just be biased because I'm dating a Welsh person right now. :p
But seriously? I really think you'd like the UK. Los of culture and tradition. Where are you interested in visiting? Have you ever considered Wales? I still have yet to make it up to Scotland. Hopefully I can do a bit more wandering next year.
