Appearance: Keel has light orange, almost tan skin. His eyes are yellow, and usually alight with a zealous fire. He dresses in Jedi robes, as he is a Padawan learner in the order, almost a Knight. He is tall, standing at almost 7 feet, but lanky and thin by our standards, average by Gungan standards.
History: Keel was just a child when he was found by a Jedi, native to Naboo. The human had been on a diplomatic visit to a small Gungan community, seeking to build relations with what he saw as an oppressed people. It was the will of the Force that he should find Keel, who was just becoming aware of the fact that he was different. When the Jedi showed off what Keel could one day do if he developed his power, the tiny Gungan was awed. He was told he could protect his friends, his family, his people, and millions of people he had never met, and their friends and loved ones, if he would take up the life of a Jedi. The young Gungan was fairly simle-minded at that tender age, and had no interest in power; he DID love his family, though. As much as he would have hated leaving them behind, he also wanted to defend them and keep them safe. The Jedi's offer was gladly accepted, and Keel was given one week to spend with his family before he left. While he missed his family, the boy was ready to leave and take on his new lifestyle.
Personality:
Keel's desire to protect those he loved grew into a zealous flame to defend anyone who was oppressed, endangered, and otherwise denied the basic rights of life that any living creature deserved. With a Gungan energy shield and a lightsaber as his main battle implements, he gladly served with his master to defeat anyone who sought to ruin lives... but, he also believed in giving them a second chance, if possible. He has a good heart, and is generally kind, while chivalrous to boot. He is a tad quick to jump to someone's aid, and has held up more than one innocent person at saber-point for what he misjudged as an act of crime, profusely apologizing afterwards. His master congratulated him, though, because his successes have grown more numerous as he learned to let the Force be his discernment.
Today: Keel's master died tragically in a fight against a gang of brutish Grans on Malastaire. While he was strong in the force, and a bold defender of all that was good, he still was not experienced enough to pass the trials. Yoda and the Jedi Council hated that they had to keep the young Gungan with so much promise from becoming a Knight, but figured that another year was all he needed, if not less. Besides... they suddenly found that one of their current Knights was in need of someone to straighten his path...
