I went to New Orleans last week
on a mission trip
and I was told by the pastor of a church there
that the reason many people didn't come back
is because when they were evacuated
they went somewhere else
and found that life was actually better in the new place.
If there is anyone here
who lived in New Orleans
and left because of Katrina
And moved away permanently
who is comfortable sharing,
Why did you choose to live somewhere new after the storm?
Were people more hospitable to you
in other cities or states than at home?
did it feel like God wanted you to move there?
I was only told this fact,
but I'm curious to hear it from someone who really moved.
