Background: Katherine was raised by her American father, who divorced her alcoholic mother when she was only 4 years old. Her father is her only friend. He's a web designer who has homeschooled Katherine since she was 10 years old. She had to be pulled out of public schools because 'strange things' were happening. If someone was making fun of her (she's very short), they'd suddenly walk into a wall or trip. If the teacher called on her to answer a question and she didn't know the answer, the teacher would turn and ask someone else without Katherine having to answer. Because of these weird things happening, kids avoided her and teachers acted scared of. Parents started complaining and she had to be withdrawn from the school. Thankfully, her dad is able to work at home and keep an eye on her at the same time.
Katherine has little control over her powers. She usually takes over someone's mind by accident and releases them after just a minute or two. If things aren't going her way or someone makes her upset, she might accidentally make them do what she wanted without realizing it. Now that she's graduated high school, her dad wants her to be able to do something with her powers and feels that he was wrong in keeping her hidden all this time.
