Appearance/Personality: Kane is an altogether unique individual in appearance, weathered by years of working in the field of mechanics. His piercing grey eyes look constantly about for weaknesses that can be fixed, and his hawk like nose is often shadowed by a furrowed brow. Kane is bald with a lowset crown of greying hair near his ears and a jutting beard. He is quite short and sturdy, and his lack of height is made up by his extremely brawny physique. Lifting heavy machinery has built up Kane’s muscular strength to the point where nobody will ever call him ‘stunty’ again. Combined with his perpetual scowl and fierce demeanour, many a young apprentice has made sure to tread carefully around the indomitable master engineer. Kane’s legendary rage is offset by his calm and occupied disposition when involved whole-heartedly in a favourite project. He is fascinated by old-world machines and pre-sky technology, often feeling that the land below is just a treasure trove of mechanical artefacts waiting to be found.
Weapons/Wargear: Apart from a trusty power-wrench that Kane occasionally uses to smack snoozing apprentices’ knuckles with; the master engineer carries no weapons. He has seen his fair share of fights however, usually instigated by him after being teased about his height. Kane can hold his own quite well in any hand-to-hand combat, using his physical stature and prowess to great effect.
Skills: Kane can usually fix anything mechanical he comes across, as long as he has the right tools for the job. He is also an inventor of new gizmos and machines, taking inspiration from the fundamental way that things work.
