Name: Kael

Gender: Male

Race: Elf

Age: Several hundred years...

Dress: Leather; dark leather boots, dark leather tunic, dark cord around his forehead inset with an amber stone

Appearance: About 6'2"; dark wavy hair to his neck, and golden eyes. Slender build, but muscular.

Bio: Keen intellect; he defied his people and his king, and amassed supporters through his wit and somewhat strange teachings. He carries around only one weapon, a small dirk which he crafted himself.

History (Which I'm sure is slightly different than Bio): A human king once got into a large dispute with him, and ended up attacking Kael's small band. Only a fraction of them escaped into the woods, where they hid. They were not warriors, but over time developed fighting skills, all the while gaining more members. As time wore on, Kael's need for revenge grew, and finally they group attacked the King and his people. A slaughter ensued, as the town was caught on unawares. Kael hated what he did, but his need for revenge was strong.

After he had left the city littered in corspes, he had left his men and traveled up onto a mountain to think and calm himself. Once on top, he met a man, one called the Prophet. The Prophet announced that for this atrocity, Kael would be taught the largest lesson of his life by the very daughter of the King he had killed. The ominous way he said it left Kael with chills, but shock replaced them as the Prophet suddenly lifted his hands toward the kingdom, now filled only with bodies. The peninsula suddenly shook, and Kael had watched in disbelief as it slowly sank below the waves. The Prophet had finished his reprimand by a last comment. Only one had survived the slaughter, the princess he had spoken of earlier. The princess was gifted, gifted far beyond any mortal who had lived thus far. Kael would live in constant fear until the day they met.

Kael had watched as the Prophet had vanished before his eyes, then slowly made his way back down to his band. They lived as nomads, travelling the land without a home. Kael led them in constant agitation and impatience for the meeting that he knew must come eventually. He sharpened his skills with the dirk, and they were soon unmatched by any others. His group survived by plundering farms and orchards; they were theives by necesity, and they could get away with it through their combat skills.
