1) What age were you when you got engaged? And your spouse? I was 22 and he was 25
2) How long did you date before you were engaged? We dated for about 2.5 years
3) Where was the proposal? Anywhere special? Or did you have an engagement ring? (My mom didn't have one). Well, we went to buy rings together before he actually asked me, and then when they came back from being sized he just asked me while watching TV. But I had already been wearing the ring for a few days. (I just couldn't resist)
4) How long from the proposal, to the wedding? 3 months, probably wouldn't have been longer if he hadn't been going back to school, so we did it quickly so I could move with him.
5) How many years have you been married? 1 year as of Sept. 27th!
6) Were you believers then? Yes we both were, but I wasn't when we started dating

3. It was in my kitchen, totally caught off guard. Yes, he had a ring

5. We've been married 13 years. September 23rd marks our 15 year anniversary of our first date

1. Both 25 years old. We met while working in a third-world country
2. seven months but he was actually gone six months of it so it was long distance
3. My place, yes there was a ring
4. less than three months from proposal to wedding
5. eight and a half years
6. We believed in God. Were we saved? not necessarily


He is still my best friend and we have two wonderful children. Just make sure you marry somebody who is your best friend.

Married at 2 years - so 4 months

That weekend, I was at a confirmation retreat as a chaperone. After I got back, during the week, he hardly spoke to me. I thought he wanted to break up. Then when the moment came, he couldn't talk. He was shaking all over and breathing very heavy. He just pushed the box into my hands. Poor guy, he was that nervous.

We talked about marriage the day we started dating.
We picked a wedding date 1 year and 3 months after that.
He "proposed" with the ring and everything 5 months later.
We had planned our "engagement day" together (his surprise attempts having all failed!). We took a walk in the woods, where he proposed, and then we went to the restaurant together.

From our "engagement day" to the wedding, 5 months.
But total we planned the wedding 10 months ahead.

5) How many years have you been married?

Next month, one year!

6) Were you believers then?

Yes, we met in Bible College.
