No, if you're going to ask for a certain person then you might as well just get that person without God's Direction.
--If you want God to get you that person, then you will have to let God and God alone to find that person for you. Do not question God let Him do His job and you will be Amazed!

In my opinion, God knows your heart and He knows that you have feelings for this person. I don't think it is wrong to pray along the lines of "God, if X is the person you would have for me to be with than I ask you to open the doors to a relationship and help me to see if this is your will. If not, than show me what or who your will is." And accept if the answer is no. (That's the hard part!) I have had some guys in my life that I thought were perfect for me but God had other plans. Just make sure you are open to His direction and He will show you the way.

I just got out of a long serious relationship b/c I didn't feel that God was the head of it. Now, I am looking to Him to decide on someone for me. I know He will put me w/ someone who is focused on Him, and will thus help me to also grow as a Christian. So my question is this. Is it wrong for me to ask God to "put" me w/ a certain person who I feel fits perfectly in the picture? I'm sure this topic has prolly been posted way too many times, but I'd appreciate any input anyone has on it. Thx

Um, yes, it is wrong. You're not really asking for God's will, you are asking Him to bless YOUR will.

You could pray something like, "Lord if Mr. X would be a godly match for me, please make sure he notices me and finds me attractive physically, spiritually and emotionally, and get us to the point of Christian maturity that we can have a successful marriage."

That way, you are still being open to God's will, and you are letting God know that you find Mr. X attractive.

If you are asking God to bring someone to you and put u with them then yes, its not wrong, if you mean u know someone then it would be asking God to do something like give you a million dollars. Its not morraly wrong to ask God to give you a million dollars but you have to look at the reason u are asking God for it. if you want God to give you a million dollars so u can support an event for the church to minister to people thats different then asking God for a million dollars so u can buy a pony, (although i dont understand why anyone would spend a million dollars on a pony).
