  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just wondering

As a 15 year old right now, i can say we like video games, mostly Halo, sports, football, basketball, and soccer. girls rule about 1/5 of our minds. There are others, but is this characters particuluary smart, lazy or wild, or have any dominant characteristic that i can draw from?

Finally a guy answered, though its not much different from the girls.

To be honest, I hadn't thought life could be so dull. and I do not like Halo, so that will probably not have a hold over this person. It might be more of a ...... less guyish guy. I already have him written in, but for now he's a very.... flat character. But I don't want him to be a girl in guys clothing if you get what I mean, I want him to be a convincing guy, I'm just not sure I can do that :(

Funny enough, I dont like Halo that much either. But most of my friends think its the greatest thing since the T.V remote, I put it in. I prefer Final Fantasy and Soul Caliber, but thats beside the point. Flat eh? Give him a unique characteristic; he talks a mile a minute, he knows a book of worthless information, he reads too much, he talks with words others his age think are big (ex. prefer and authentic are words my friends never use.), he reads alot. I'm just describing myself here, since I've always been considered less... guyish as you say, than most of my peers. Tell me if any of this suites you.

Happy Easter

well, you could forcus on the stereotypes. guys are usually less emotionally expressive than girls. they tend to not squeal over things like bugs, snakes, dirt, etc. they're also usually more physical (meaning, when they greet a friend it's a punch in the shoulder or something). like i said, those are stereotypes and aren't rules. stereotypes usually have some basis in reality.

i'd suggest people watching. you go to school, right? that's a great way to watch people. you learn a lot just from watching how people interact with each other on a casual basis. just don't stare too hard at them or they'll get weirded out.

All of us in my school greet each other with that handshake, you know the one where you slide your palm against the other persons and then ram your knuckles against each others. If you want specific personality trait of features, give me some background on your character, does he even have a name? I'm gonna bet his parents are divorced, like almost everybody else's, am I right?

wow, that's harsh. my parents aren't divorced and neither are my roommate's. my other roommate's father passed away and the other is from a divorced family. 3 out of 4 is pretty good. i know plenty of people whose parents are still together. i also know people whose parents are seperated.

We-ell, there are also boys who aren't into sports at all, although they are probably treated as social lepers in the US (and to a lesser degree in Europe, too).
You know, those nerdy types, the silent ones who will adore a girl from the distance but never approach to chat her up, feeling all tongue tied and clumsy.
