Just wanted some insight

I am not a non-believer but I just wanted to know......If there are any out there that disagree with the New King James Version coould u please state why and some of your feelings on the issue. I'm just doing some research and would like to know.

I would not say that the NKJV is better than the KJV because of the omissions in the translations. Certain words are omitted entirely: Jehovah, damnation, devils. The NKJV is a much more liberal translation. Instead of saying that "narrow" is the way, the NKJ says "difficult" is the way.... so there are differences in the translation that can affect theology, the NKJ tends to demote the Doctrine of the Trinity and introduces terms that were previously relative to paganism, i.e. "the Coming One".


When I am studying the Word, my personal preference is a 8-translation parallel Bible, but for "reading", any general translation will do as long as you know it is a general translation, or living translation, or life application translation, and not necessarily the "real thing". Avoid the New World Translation and the Book of Yahweh which are corrupted translations.
