Just started RCIA

Hey all,

Well, I've decided to become Catholic and just started RCIA.

I've done this once before and quit half way through, it's a touch decision for me because my wife remains a Protestant.

So keep me in prayer please.

Could I suggest that you watch the Catholicism Project? It's a bit pricey, but it's worthe every penny for the rich content. It'll go great with your RCIA program.

My wife is a Protestant also. How does your wife feel about your decision to convert? With the reminder that I think the Church teaches that your marriage is your first priority, I would like to give you a few pointers of what has made my "mixed marriage" work.

Support her church life in every way. Do not attempt to convert her or drag her to Mass with you. Do Not Discuss Church Doctrine. If she is sola scriptura, let it alone. Respect her beliefs and perhaps your mixed marriage will work as mine has.

Oh, yes, don't go out and buy a statue of Mary to put in your yard.

Awesome! I think I will be going through RCIA classes next fall. I'm taking another year to continue exploring the Catholic faith. Mind if I add you on here? I'd love to hear how the classes are going and what you're learning!
