Many ask why the Catholic Mass is so boring, so they try to spice it up with sugary tunes, Lobster costumes and other silliness

The Mass needs to be rightly understood in light of what is actually going on. So many out there deride liturgy because it doesn't make them feel good, or doesn't seem to meet their needs.

Guess what, The Mass is not there to make you feel good. In the first part the Mass is the worship of God Almighty. Whoa, says the post-Vatican II generation. What do you mean the worship of God? I thought that we were celebrating our being a "Community?"

Uhhhh.... No... The Mass is a community celebration, but it isn't a celebration of the community, this fact has been lost on a generation of Liturgist, Priests, Music Ministers, and a host of others out there who want us to party down and celebrate the fact that 28% of us have come together. So before I begin, I would like to lay out a few things that I really can't stand at a mass:
