Hey y'all.
I think my last official update was around september of 2020, so I just wanted to put out something more optimistic this time. This won't be terribly long, I think? Oh well, here we go..
So for starters, hubby and I moved states and are now living in his hometown. I have to say, I'm really enjoying the south so far! The people here are very kind, and the food is absolutely amazing. Moving here from a big city up north has been like receiving one big hug.
Second, I am glad to say I am no longer suicidal and have been clean from self-harm for quite some time now. I still struggle with some symptoms of my BPD, but have been doing much better managing it than I did before and am seeing consistent improvement even up till now. I currently am on no medications, which is also a bonus.
Third, I've made much more progress regarding my relationship with God and working through my anxieties. I no longer fear or worry constantly about death or the end of the world, and I've managed to stop compulsively worrying about sinning without sacrificing my sensitive conscience. I've completely stopped debating both online and IRL, as I felt convicted a few months ago regarding my arguing with others and feeling the need to always assert how 'right' I am about things. Specifically, reading the bible and what it has to say about taming the tongue and how fools are known by their multitude of words. Really hit home with me and made me realize that debates, and my tongue overall, has been a vice for me.
And lastly, I've been trying to just kinda...disconnect from politics/current goings-on. Working on taking things day-by-day, enjoying time with my loved ones and planning for the future instead of getting caught up in the whirlwind of negativity and worldliness. Y'know, living out my morals and leading by example instead of idle chatter and worrying about things far out of my control.
Now I just gotta wait for God to bless me with some of my creativity back--I'm on severe burnout regarding art and music and even writing, so for now I'm just rewatching old movies and series I haven't seen in years and playing some games lol.
