CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I like to draw. I like to draw people, conveying their emotions from the depths of their eyes and constructing their personalities with the slightest tweak in the nose or the mouth. It's my most effective and intimate way of getting in touch with my soul and spirit.

I would love to share my drawings some time! It will definitely go on my to-do list.
I recently got into worship music (Hillsong United <3!), but I also like Coldplay, Philip Glass, Sixpence None the Richer, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Yiruma.

I love To Kill a Mockingbird, and a few by J.M.Coetzee: Life and Times of Michael K and Disgrace. I love character studies; I'm currently reading Mrs. Dalloway, and I'm loving how, like Coetzee, Virgina Woolf focuses on character more than anything else.
I also love the bible and my recent favorite bible verse is:
John 14:16-17
(16) And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever--(17) the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

I want to study biology in college. I may end up majoring in something entirely different, like religion, however. I am pretty interested in religion too, actually; I've explored both Buddhism and Christianity pretty extensively and found many, many similar foundations. Comparative religions would be a pretty rewarding use of my time. I can't wait for March for college acceptances! GAH!

My immediate thought is President Obama. He seems like a genuine, decent guy whom I think I'll be able to share my views with and be respected at the same time. It would also be awesome to hear what he has to say about things I'm interested in, not only politics.

I don't know about films, but I agree with Sally Seton's (from Mrs. Dalloway) point of view that saying what one feels is the most important contribution one can make to society.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to Bhutan to observe their customs that lead to a national collective happiness. I also want to learn how to properly meditate.
What is your highest dream in life that you want to come true so much?
I want to be the living sacrifice and lamb that God would be proud of. Yes, He loves us unconditionally, but I want to live for Him and for Him only. I'm going through a tough time right now emotionally and academically, but want to trust in the Lord to lead me through it. Please pray for me...
