This is a discussion forum, not a scientific panel where only scientific facts are accepted as valid. No, I expect honest people to not give their
people to not opinion as fact.
No need to pretend I didn't know own whatPay more attention, I literally said that our bodies are from animals, similarly so many of our instincts. What is significantly different was mentioned, too - and no, not bodies.
No.I'm going to ask a serious question: if someone did present to you serious evidence of humans evolving from earlier species of apes, would you accept it as evidence?
I know your position. I was directly asking the person who I asked. Not you.
I value having my ideas challenged, butYou are just trolling at this point.

The only way human beings are significantly different from other animals is in the area of consciousness. If you want to ignore that humans are significantly different from animals, plants and non-living things, your choice. I mentioned some areas of significant difference.
Just because humans share DNA with apes doesn’t necessarily mean that they are descendants of apes because all plants & animals share DNA between each other. Humans share DNA with plants, animals, reptiles, birds, insects, and even plants, that doesn’t suggest they are all descendants of each other.
I suspect this isn't the answer your looking for, but in respect to the other animals, we have an "I Am" awareness of self. I look at it as the very center of Human consciousness.Perhaps.
What do you mean by consciousness?
So, does reality change according to what site it is posted on?
That would be our souls. Our bodies evolved.
I value having my ideas challenged, but
from the way some "believers" go straight to
nasty here, it seems there's some serious emotional
block against anything the doesn't fit their
chosen dogma.

You're a bit of a troll.
Considering how humans act on average, this is an insult to monkeys.I see this all the time, it's become one of those knee jerk responses, but we did infact evolve from monkeys if evolution is true.
This may seem pedantic, but by definition the common ancestor between monkeys and humans was infact a monkey, we would call it a monkey if we saw it today, it would fit all the criteria for being a monkey. it wasn't a modern one, but it was still a monkey.
The split from monkeys happened after new world and old world monkeys split, so humans are descended from old world monkeys wich would make our ancestors monkeys.
What part of us is made in the image of God?Reality is, we are all made in the image of God. We didnt come from apes.
So you’re saying that evolution is a fact then? No scientist says that evolution is a fact.
Missing link is an outdated 19th Century term that means a being literally half-way between humans and our fellow apes. This is the 21st Century and we now have thousands of transitional hominid specimens from dozens of species. More importantly DNA has made the fossil record a nice addition to our knowledge base rather than the focus.According to this quote from Britannica are my statements regarding the absence of a missing link false?
Many of Darwin's thoughts have been rendered irrelevant by subsequent discoveries.Darwin never claimed, as some of his Victorian contemporaries insisted he had, that “man was descended from the apes,” and modern scientists would view such a statement as a useless simplification
I'm not sure why you think any of this supports your position. The entry correctly states that we don't know and will probably never identify one single species from which humans and chimpanzees evolved. It also correctly states that we have fossil evidence of many hominid species which form a family bush of direct and collateral ancestors.—just as they would dismiss any popular notions that a certain extinct species is the “missing link” between humans and the apes. There is theoretically, however, a common ancestor that existed millions of years ago. This ancestral species does not constitute a “missing link” along a lineage but rather a node for divergence into separate lineages. This ancient primate has not been identified and may never be known with certainty, because fossil relationships are unclear even within the human lineage, which is more recent. In fact, the human “family tree” may be better described as a “family bush,” within which it is impossible to connect a full chronological series of species, leading to Homo sapiens, that experts can agree upon.
