  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ahh a day of rest. today has been what my little one and I really needed. we spent the day at home with each other. eating, resting, with our hearts dwelling on the Lord as we sang praise, read the word and served tea two a couple of guests.
i helped a sister come up with a budget that will help her recover from her stuggle with debt and did some secretarial work for my husband.

how was your day?
did you hear from God?

let me know!

how is your heart today?

with much love through Jesus, Emily

Tannie Dawn,
Sorry we had some problems with our server last night. They kept saying it was our fault and today they realised that it was theirs. But I am back on the net now, so let me know when you pop in.
To the rest I am still working on some more photos. I just need somebody that will make it smaller.
God Bless
Phil

When I retire (little over 3 years) I'll find a job close to home and maybe be able to walk to work too.
What's the weather like in S. Africa? I was talking to my Mom about you the other day and she told me my Dad fought in WWII in S. Africa under General Patton.

The weather is great. Do not know much about Gen. Patton though. I see you have quoted Corrie Ten Boom on one of the other threads. She was an amazing woman and so was her sister. They even saw the hand of God in the lice they had in the concentration camp.(It stopped the soldiers from raping the woman) I hope that if I ever get tested in that way, I will be able to remain victories through the Grace of God.

Be glad that we do not have to go through the same. I have a short piece on my radio program on Monday afternoons which is dedicated to the persecuted church. I have a large number of interviews with people from Open Doors. The stories that they share with me is amazing.
Some people however do romatisize about the church, but it is no fairy tale. A lot of people loose their lives. Some do deny Christ in the end. This is a rather small number, but there are those. These are hard words, but it were those that tried to do it in their own strength and not that of the Lord.
Please keep this church in your prayers.

Thanks Tannie,
I know them very well. I have also read some Richard Wurmbrand's books. His wife was also a very special person. I have trouble odering from their website as they do not post to South Africa. I heard that they have a office here in South Africa as well and I will be trying them to get hold of some more of his books.

I tell my church the things we take for granted...assembly, having Bibles, able to rejoice anywhere; is not allowed in most countries. We live in a tunnel and sometimes don't think of the rest of the body of Christ. We must always think of our brothers and sisters in Christ no matter where they are.

Thank you tannie, but al credit goes to God. I invite all of you on this forum to come and visit us here on the mission. We have a pastors conference next week that will be led by pastor David Wilkerson from Time Square Church in Manhattan, New York. Some of His Church members are already here.
