Hi. I've been posting on Emma's Drive By Repuation thread for awhile. I've made some really great friends there. But I don't need anymore rep points. I thought that maybe some people would like a thread just to talk without the points.

So, if you're like me and just want to catch up with people. Make some friends. Talk about your day. Tell a joke. Support and edify each other in the spirit of fellowship for fellowships sake. I hope you'll join me here.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 1Thes.5:11

Hi Wisdon Seeker,

I'm always willing to make new friends. My name is Kathie. I am fairly new to this site. My daughter got me to try it and I spend a lot of time here now. I'm a 58 year old child of God, wife, mom and gramma. We have 2 dogs. I am not working out of the home but have had a few jobs. I worked for about 30 years, that was enough for me. I don't want to say everything at once and run out of things to say, so I will wait to hear from you.

God bless,

Kathie

Hi Sophia and Sleepy Jean.

How's everybody's Sunday going?

My son is working on a school project on Egypt. He has to make a mock pyrimid with a mummy etc. inside. Who ever invented Lego's was a genius. If we had to make this thing out of paper or clay...well, let's just say it would be daunting. Still has to do a report too. When's Summer Vacation? :D

This is great! A place to talk to people and make friends.

 Hello to everone here.

Wisdom Seeker, my Sunday has went very well. I hope everyone else had a pleasant day.

I have been working on a project as well. I have been doing some research on a Church that my dad attended as a young boy in Arkansas and I bought him a tape that tells alot of the history of his old Church...It is his birthday present.

I will tag in tomorrow...

p.s. ...getting to know each other and call each other friends is a great idea. :pink:

Wow, when I started this thread, I had no idea I was going to get compliments too. Thank you very much. :o

Well, We got the pyrimid done, including the interior with mummy, pictures on the interior walls etc. We even lit it. It's pretty good. But who can tell with teachers whether they will think so. Now we have to do the 300 page report to go with it. I think my son has two words so far.

Tomorrow we're having a contractor come in an put up a wall seperating our son's room from our office. The contractor says it should take 5 days. I'm so looking forward to it being finished. And so is my son. My husband is a graphic artist who runs his business out of our home. And with all the deadlines it's hard when someone is in the room and needs to sleep. This will be much better I'm thinking.

My cough is back. I hate being sick. Not like I can take a day off or anything. Well, because I am the sort to find a silver lining in any set back minor or major...I'll say this: At least it's not the stomack flu, or something more serious. I can deal with a cough. It's not as good as being able to just breath freely...but I'll take it over the others...no problem. ;)

So glad you all stopped in. So.........tell me about your day?

Wisdom, I haven't been feeling well today either, scratchy throat, sniffles. Last week I found out that I have this big training thing starting tomorrow lasting for 4 weeks, 1 day a week. So it's crunch time. Trying to re-work someone else's power point. When it's all done, we will have trained around 400 people. I told my boss I didn't feel good and he said "Don't do that to me". I told him I'd drag myself there no matter what. So I would appreciate any and all prayers!!!

You got it Dawn. Just prayed for you.

You might try Dayquill capsules. Seems to help me a little bit. Speaking of which...I should go take some. They don't seem to have any side-effects. I can't deal with side-effects. I can't afford to be sleepy or loopy.

Also I read in a magazine today that a little inhaled steam is good to loosen up all that congestion. Especially before bedtime.

Hope you feel better.
