• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder a few years ago. I just started therapy today with a new therapist, and I am now diagnosed with Bipolar 2, and the Borderline. Anyone else have Bipolar 2? I have been looking up stuff about it online. I am happy to finally know whats going on with me.

Take Care Everyone!

Hey, Yes, I have bp2 as did my Dad and does my son. There is a good explanation at the locked threads at the top of the page. There are several of us here. I am glad to hear you are finding out what is going on with you.

Blessings and prayers!

Hello Samantha,

Yes I am bipolar2 kind of a tricky disease to figure out isn't it? I didn't get properly diagnosed until about a year ago so 29. It was a huge relief when I got diagnosed....I finally knew I was battling a mountain and not a molehill if you know what I mean.

Welcome to this room on CF!

My first diagnosis was Borderline Personality Disorder, but as a little time went on they found that I was Bipolar I with Borderline Traits....(which means I only have a few of the BPD symptoms) and I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well. So, one is always triggering the other which makes for a never-ending roller coaster ride.

I'm glad that you have found a diagnosis and I pray all goes well with your treatment.
:hug:s and :angel::kiss:es!!

My friend has bi polar as well as post traumatic stress. Owning aa couple of ferrets has helped with the down moods. Also the medicine wellbutrin . This is suppose to help to quit smoking but it dies wonders for the down moods.

I got fish, but they all died yesterday, it was horrible.. :( My fiancee wants to get me a cat for when I feel down. I tried Welbutrin when I was younger, and I got horrible side effects. Thanks for your response!
