When I was a kid in junior high school, there was this popular "muscle-man" ministry known as "The Power Team"; the leader of this group was John Jacobs. I'm sure there are many here who are at least somewhat familiar with them. They came to perform in my area around about that time (in the neighborhood of 1987 or 1988), and I was really excited about it -- even had the poster of them put up at my school in hopes to get some of the kids to come (and several of them did) and maybe give their lives to the Lord. Their main message was supposed to be that true strength comes from God.
Recently, though, I heard that the real secret behind their "stunts" was drugs. Is this really true, or just a rumor? Where can I find out more information about it?
