I decided to lay there with the lights on for a bit keeping a eye on the chair and wall. The chair is just a cheap ..small...recliner type chair. Anyway, this big tree roach comes up over the side of the arm of the chair that's near where my pillow is. 
I grabbed my husbands tennis shoe and tried to kill it. It went to the front of the chair and again I tried to kill it. It fell on the floor and ran behind the chair.

I got it to come back out and in the open. I was screaming of course. 
I finally killed it. My husband hollers from the front room if I was okay. He had fallen asleep on the couch so I left him out there.
I tell him what happened and ask if he can pick up the roach carcass. He does and we both go to bed. I'm freaked out now and holding a small flashlight that I keep turning on and looking around the room about every 5 minutes.

After about an hour my back is hurting so I go out to lay on the couch. About 5ish this morning the cat wakes me up again by jumping on the small couch and looking over the arm of it.
I get up and turn on the lights. It's another big tree roach. This one is on it's back struggling. We have the bug man that comes out to spray quarterly. He's due to come out next month for the next quarter spray.
I kill this one too and flush him. Oh and there was a dying one in the kitchen near the cat bed. So that's THREE of them in the house last night. 
We haven't had much rain lately so I think they are coming in for water.
