CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Good question... I was about to dive right into a discussion and found out I couldn't make any posts and sent an email into support about how I will not use the site if I can not participate. I saw this and lo and behold, I'm able to post here(which really doesn't help much either). I also recently noticed there's a pop-up offering an upgrade to a premium account for $15, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it either.

No payment is necessary, I discovered that the posting opened up to me after I'd gone and checked out my profile area. I don't know that it had anything to do with it, but just keep checking around

I haven't had that problem yet and I have only posted a few times. Maybe its where you post is a bit more restricted. Was this before you inteoduced yrself. I didn't try to post until I posted here as I noticed it saying we were supposed to first... or something like it. Good luck.

I did introduce myself first, then did a bit of looking around at some threads going on, but realized that I couldn't post there so I came back here and posted again about not being able to. At that time no one had posted any welcome, but while I was off line, they began to drop by. The 'likes' apparently allow the new members to post on other threads because when I came back online, I thanked those who came by then went off to look at other threads again, and found that the 'post reply' was
available to me.
