I wanted to just give an update on my daughter, who ive posted about in various forums- she is a cutter, had been hospitalized twice for a suicide pact, and recently had decided that she wanted to explore and get into Wicca (yes...my heart DID jump into my throat, and stayed there for months-lol)
At this time, she let me know a couple of days ago that she hasn't cut in 27 days---she came to me with this, I didn't ask her
I would also like to add that after poring over books on wicca, talking with other wiccans, and being gung-ho about wicca in general while she was telling me that I was being paranoid, and nothing was wrong with it- in other words 'demons, schmemons' lol- she came to me the other day and told me that she has decided against wicca because of something she read about it that bothered her- I asked her what it was, and apparently she had read something about various holiday observances, and ran across Samhain. She was ok with it until she read that the god becomes the 'lord of the underworld'....and apparently, it stopped her cold- something that she had believed had been nothing more than somewhat of a nature religion so to speak, was now something that had to do with things in the underworld-I mentioned the fact that I wondered how something that was seen in a positive 'light' could also be part of such a dark thing--
ANYway....I want to thank you guys for your prayers and support as ive posted all over the place concerning her.
Oh, one more thing- Angelique, if you read this? My daughter tells me that you guys are still yakking back and forth on messenger- and I want to let you know that the things you're going through right now and the questions you are trying to get answers to? my prayers and thoughts are with you- God keep you while you're toughing through what you're toughing through- hugs to you!
