• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hey, y'all . A while back; when I wrote on this forum, I wrote about stepping away from A.A. meetings, not for ever, just cutting back. That it was time that I got into the real meat of the fellowship for myself. I had planned to get more active in my church and do some more bible studies. I had the last of my dental work done right after I wrote that and I missed the ladies group that meets once a month. I was then thinking negatively about maybe this new church isn't where God wants me after all.
Now I didn't voice this out loud, just my head been engaged without checking with God. Anyway I went to church and it was so sweet one of the women came up and hugged me and gave me a peck on the cheek. Then right after that someone I new from the fellowship can up and ask me to do an open talk lol. Don't you just LOVE GODS sense of humor. So I am doing an open talk tonight and I believe I am right where God wants me to be. I thank God for that 3,10 and 11th step. I am doing well with how I am working this right now.
When I started working at getting sober, I went to meeting everyday and sometimes two. Now I need the balance of church and A.A. because I need to apply more of the spiritual and learn more of my Fathers ways. Thanks for letting me ramble. God Bless all of you. :)

The old saying "God works in mysterious ways" cannot even begin to explain things sometimes! LOL Thanks for the story! Keep the faith!
