  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I didn't know where I should really post this..I'd thought about putting it in the running prayer thread, but that one is closed...um....
I just have a simple little prayer request for a girl who God's put in my life recently...she's a wonderful girl, met her through my job...she's just having a really really difficult time right now...one bad thing seemingly running into the next bad thing...she's being overwhelmed by her adversities, to say the least...in one week's time, she's been robbed, hurt and lost a loved one...and she tells me this is only PART of a string of problems in her life right now..these weren't the first few things...but, anyway, please pray for julie, that God may give her comfort and peace in these difficult times..that she may know that He is always there for her, feeling her pain along with her.....she's a great girl, and she is doing the best that she can....also, please pray for me, that I may share with her some light..that she may see a little bit of christ through me...even if it's just through my smile, words of love and encouragement or embrace...God bless you all & thank you!
