Just A Question Here

I can understand not wanting anyone under 30 posting in here but, can someone please explain to me why people 30 to 50 can't go into the 30 to 50 threads and participate with other adults? Why do we have to be separated? Why do all the 30 - 40's have to stay in their area and all the 40 - 50's over here and the 50+ over there? I might wish to go into a 50+ thread to fellowship. So why can't we?

Hey Red you can post (legitimately) in any thread in those area's not your age as long as the thread has [open] in the thread title. But we in the 40's welcome whomever wants to post.

Maybe a good suggestion to staff would be an "adult" forum for those 30 and up. *shrug* just my .02.

May be. It just makes no sense to separate everyone and tell them they have to stay in their perspective corners unless they post in certain threads. A 30+ thread for all of us adults would be cool.

Or another idea would be overlaapping a bit to allow easier transitions. For example, Yound adults goes to 35 and 30's overlaps it by 5 years. What if 30's was 25-45, 40's was 35-55, 50's and up started at 45, etc.?

To Answer Renee's question...and to explain what someone was told about the [open]...

I haven't gotten any feedback yet on a 30+ Forum within the Life Stages area from Erwin yet..maybe cause he's about to move the servers tonight.

But...after I was told when I first came to the 40's that that was the meaning of the [Open] area ....I not only told my hubby that, but one of my best friends as well..

Today... after changing the Ladies thread to [Open] for that purpose only... at least one warning I know of was issued...
The Reason: [open] doesn't mean another Christian friend or spouse not in our age group can post in here.... but that non-Christians,Pagans,Atheists can.

My friend's post was reported as not being in the right AGE area...

So while our Christian friends not between the ages of 40-49 ARE NOT allowed to post here...
atheists can

I asked to have the [open] taken off the ladies thread if thats the only meaning it has
