Good for you. I think the best solution to problems is to just go to the person you have issues with and talk to them. It's so much easier in the long run!
I think it's great that you got a sign that God's listening. Everybody has those moments of depression; I'm glad you got the comfort you needed.

Your story made me think right away of Phillipians 4:6-7.
"Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all he has done. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
