Also known as Freedom Day, Emancipation Day or America's second Independence Day, Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S. after the Civil War. Many Americans have celebrated it annually for more than a century, even though the holiday was not officially added to the national calendar until 2021.

I do not mind another Holiday. But I want Good Friday back.
NOW this shows us we are NOT limited to 8 or 7 days in a calendar year.
In fact, not at all.

I want Good Friday back.

Good Friday has never been a federal holiday in the United States.
I would love to put particular emphasis on THAT!

A distant second to it, to suggest; Apostles Day on the longest day of the year signifying the "brightness of the sun" (Acts 26:13)

On which please? If on the statement and not the response, I know if this nation knew to honor not only the Lord Jesus Christ, but the Apostles, such a measure might have a few to follow in agreement. But this nation has adopted such disdain for everything contributing to the flock's soundness, they are blind to double-honor to a man of God, how much more to the Apostles (Rev 21:14)?

Thanks for the response. I think it’s more clear now.

Mine was closed too. No mail.. it’s a federal holiday
Good Friday is not a federal holiday, according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

Most banks should be open on Good Friday, according to The Federal Reserve.

The United States Postal Service will be open on Good Friday and all mail will be delivered as normal.

Maybe it’s a state or regional thing?

In the United States, Good Friday is not a government holiday at the federal level, because it is a secular country. The postal service operates, and banks regulated by the federal government do not close for Good Friday. Some states, counties and municipalities may observe the holiday.

I worked a savings and loan so might be why we had Good Friday.

I corrected. I meant Juneteenth. Not Good Friday.
