Thread: The Faeroe Saga

Name: Juliana Fletcher

Age: 19

Gender: female

Race: human

Home: a farm in the Frontier, near Nercel to the east

Job: helps out with the farm

Skills: domestic skills; sorting things out and putting them to right; planning

Appearance: dark blond hair, usually parted down the middle and pulled into two braids; wide gray eyes; turned-up nose; freckles; she’s rather tall for a girl, and skinny as a stick; she wears a cotton skirt and shirt with either sturdy working boots or bare feet, depending on what she’s doing.

Personality: practical, down-to-earth, likes to plan out things ahead of time; hides her discontent over her future of being a farmer till she dies; slow to anger but has a hot temper when it’s loosed; makes up her mind about something generally quickly, and tends not to back down from that opinion unless absolutely proved otherwise; hates admitting she’s wrong; likes to learn from other people’s mistakes, rather than her own; impertinent and quite honest when she speaks; she isn’t afraid to speak her mind; isn’t afraid of confrontation or new things, but doesn’t go looking for them either; friendly and generally well-liked.

Bio: While her family supports the use of magic, like all Frontiers families, and has grown up using magic to some extent, Juliana has always been a bit skeptical of magic’s importance in their life, though she hides it and rarely thinks of it. She finds Faeroe fascinating, and dreams of going there one day—but only in dreams, for such a trip would be impossible and foolhardy, and she knows it well. When she hears of the rumors of war between the two countries, she battles with her own pragmatic nature over a desire to join the fight to preserve her country and a wonderment over what might happen if the Faeroeans won.

History: her parents are farmers whose parents were farmers whose parents were farmers before them; she is a fourth generation Frontiersman.

Family: Adam, her father
Molly, her mother
Peter, 21, her brother
Felix, 17, her brother
George, 14, her brother
Daniel, 12, her brother
Susana, 9, her sister
