Judgement
I know that one day, we will be judged on account of our sins, but since Jesus already payed the price for our sin, doesn't that change?
The calvinists say that you will autmatically enter heaven, while noncalvinists and arminians say that you may not automatically enter heaven because you will be judged on everything. I believe the second way. That's what the bible says to me.
This is a core debate that can be found in the "Soteriology" forum which discusses the doctrine of salvation. All the threads are geared to various aspects of this discussion.
There is a large majority of people who hold to the calvinist viewpoint, of an automatic ticket to heaven for only believing. These people outweigh the arminian and noncalvinst people. Just because there is a large number of these people does not make me change my mind.
The calvinst churches are most Baptist (unless freewill Baptist), Lutherian, Methodist, Presbyterian, and most community nondenominational churches. Arminian churches are Church of Nazarene, Assembly of God, Salvation Army, Church of Christ, and most independent pentocostal churches. If you don't know by their doctrinal statement, just ask them. The arminian churches believe in "santification", "holiness"...those are common words use often, and not easily said.
This is a serious subject in mind opinion where I strongly believe that the calvinists are wrong in their thinking on this core subject. This is a core subject. It is not a minor argument. The calvinist people will really try to convince you that the arminian and noncalvinist(who don't want to be called arminian) are wrong.
If you go to the forum Soteriology, you can read the debates there.
