Judgement Q

Ello, all! Been quite a while since I started posting again. Anyway, I have some quick questions about God and his judgement.

What does God basically judge you on? Time spent with him? Helping others? Preaching the gospel? It's all a little confusing for me at the moment.

Ya know, this is a difficult question. It seems to me that he judges one on whether or not they are obedient to God's will for them and therefore produce good fruit

I look at it as multiple judgments. What is it God doesn't judge you on? He doesn't judge Christians on the basis of their own works for salvation.

There are two judgments that God makes... those who are to live with Him and those who will not.. Two different paths... and you get to choose which one you want to be on... if it is His narrow path.. then you better let Him lead you through.. it is the only way that works.. and He proved it by living as long as He has so far..

Dear Distant Ship Smoke. What does God want from us? Jesus told Nicodemus: " Ye must be born again." We are told again and again: " Repent." And Jesus told the Lawyer in Matthew: " Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and also: Love your neighbour as yourself. Love is what God wants from us, from Nicodemus, Jesus wanted a new personality, loving God with all his being, and loving all others as he loved himself. We are told to " Repent," to change our selfish and unloving character Into: Loving God with all our beings, and loving others, (our neighbour) as we love ourselves. All we say or do, which has no love in it, God will disapprove of, and if we show our love in all we say, or do, God will notice and approve, we will be given God`s blessings,Our Judgement-Question is: are we turning into the loving children/sons and daughters, which our Heavenly Father wants us to become? God is Love, Jesus gave His life for us out of Love, and God wants our Love, freely given and no conditions asked. Love is our weapon to overcome the world with , and Love will lead us home to where we came from. Love is the magic Word, or is there something better? Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

When it comes to salvation, some will be judged with justice and some with mercy. Those who have faith in God and accept His grace will be forgiven (ie. mercy). Those who do not accept His grace will be judged for their sins and be condemned (ie. justice). Those who are given mercy will be saved, but will still be judged according to their work on Earth. They won't lose their salvation, but they will "suffer loss" if their works don't hold up. See 1 Corinthians 3 10-15:

10By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. 14If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. 15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

We aren't sure what the reward is, or what it means to suffer loss, but it means that we should follow the lead of the Holy Spirit whenever possible.
