Joy vs. Happiness

I have been doing some studying on Joy and Happiness. I think this is something that we all desire to have in our lives. I have read that joy comes from God, from living in harmony with Him, and having peace between us and God in our lives, and that it is internal, and can only come from God.

Happiness comes from exteranl influeces and is temporary. After the thrill is gone, the happiness is gone.

So do you all feel that having a SO in our lives brings joy or happiness?

I feel the same way - I have no idea what a "SO" is.

i think that both joy and happiness can come from external sources, meaning that when those sources are gone, so is that feeling. conversely, both can come from within and be sustainable.
