Has any of you heard of her and what do you think of her?

She is English R&B and soul singer with an amazingly powerful voice. I think she was born near to where I live. She went to the US a while ago to have a music career there, so I am just wondering what the American opinion of Joss Stone is.

I'm not American so maybe I shouldn't say anything but I've liked what I've heard of her on the radio. I haven't listened to a whole CD of hers though so I don't know how much I like her.

We have a few swimmers as an example who live in America for part of the year to train and they come back with accents but we support them anyway

Charlize Theron I think has an American accent but she'll always be a South African in my eyes

Yeah I think it is really fickle to drop your support for a singer because they go to another country to further their music career.

I remember she was on an episode of that show where they trick you (it was on MTV-Punk'd) and this bratty boy was being a pain and he knocked over and expensive vase and instead of being all mad, she was like, "Oh, I'll pay for it. Don't worry." and was all nice and stuff. And she had no idea there was a hidden camera.

sounds like the Americans and Madonna when she moved to Britain and started developing that British accent

I think she's one of the best singers I've heard in a long time!!

She has more of an American accent now? Wow!! I think she sounds thick with an English accent.

The other thing I love about her is, she always performs barefoot.....I love that!! I go barefoot, everywhere I can get away with it!

Heck, I was even thinking....if I ever got married again, it would be totally cas....also, barefoot, if I can.

She's very 'soulfull' and 'chill/casual'! And very pretty too.
