Are you bipolar? I mean, I have been reading over posts on this board for a long time. I read much more than I post, if that is an indication of how much reading (I suppose the example would work better if all that was lost in the crash had not been, but cest la vie) I have done.
Here is what I see:
1. You propose a hypothesis
2. It gets shredded scientifically
3. You respond with personal attacks
4. Others respond with personal attacks and show you scriptures saying "don't return evil with evil," "Love one another"
5. You write off scriptures that certainly must convict your heart (they would mine if I said what you have said), and then show scriptures that refute the personal attacks of others.
6. You ask if anyone likes you
The above works like an infinite programming loop. You've gotta end the cycle, man. If you plan on coming to the science board, plan on discussing science and being able to back it up. Don't take it personal when people disagree with you, this is a debate/discussion board...there is no way everyone is going to ever agree 100% on any real issue (so whether murder is right or wrong is not a real issue
).
I decided to post this to try and offer help, I hope you see it as such. I posted this after reading the entirety of the "Does Geology shows YEC, OEC, or GAP?" thread that you posted.
The reaction you had to PhantomLlama's post was evidence that you didn't get that he wasn't talking about you/your wife or anything of the sort. As was already noted (but since you haven't apologized to him yet, I still don't think you've figured it out), Phantom Llama was showing a comparison between the title of your post:
Does Geology shows YEC, OEC, or GAP?
and the statement:
Have you stopped beating your wife yet?
Both questions inherently define the answer set for a reader. Your question only allows for the answers of YEC, OEC or GAP. Llama's question only allows for the answers "I still beat my wife" or "I don't beat her any more" - thereby implying that you used to -- do you get it now? It wasn't a personal attack, he was trying to get you to see how to re-word a question.
