Personality and History:
John's a rough one. However, a lot of it can be attributed to his rough past. As a child among quite a few in his family, he had to grow strong and fierce in order to receive a share of his father's land upon his death. There were many a time he had to compete against his siblings in order to be able to stay within his father's graces. Because of this, he has grown quick witted and sharp, though a little mean in some aspects.
He does have a good heart, though, which really shines when he's among either a lady or those who he admires. It's not totally hard to get on his good side, you just need to get past the rough layers he has, and in the end you'll see a caring and kind individual. He is a little bit of a flirt, too, being unmarried, so he treats any ladies he comes in contact with like gold.
When it comes to leading, he is a tough and strong willed individual, yet very calm and calculating. He sometimes makes tough decisions without hesitation if he believes it's for the best, though that has backfired upon him in the past. He is also a war veteran, and knows combat very well. On occasion, he leaves his territory to explore the region and keep himself in touch with his adventuring and civilian tastes, in an attempt to be able to sympathize and understand his people better.
