Were you even aware of their existence before I mentioned them?

I have heard of Ware. Read something about him in a news magazine Time or US News (I think). But haven't read any of his writings or listened to him speak. Haven't expressed an opinion of him either.

I was raised in a uber liberal protestant assembly that would think of the Bible as a nice book but not for the modern thinking man. One day I rode my bicycle to a book store and with my paper route money bought a Bible. I wanted to find out first hand where the preachers got their teachings, I was about 14 or 15 at the time. My parents were not supportive. I have a sister that is Catholic the rest of my brothers and sisters are non-believers. We grew up in the same environment and all went different directions.

Anyway for me the Bible is the Authoritative Word of God everything else takes a back seat. Sometime we really have to dig deep to find the intent. It's not always easy.
