Seems like a conspiracy theory in the making. Or hysterical fantasizing.....
This is the elephant in the.... country: how far people have drifted from reality that any notion gets traction regardless of evidence.

Yeah. That's the ticket! :)

To be serious for a moment, I personally believe that Harris just taking over for him any time between now and Jan 20th would be an absolute catastrophe for this country. And I don't mean she would come up with some policies I disagree with. I mean it would be like we are a soccer team, and she is the goalie, and she is passed out at the back of the net. It would be extremely dangerous times. The world is a dangerous place, and there are no "friendships" between countries. Only alliances. Like we had with the USSR during WWII, if you get my drift.
You make little sense. She is not like a goalie passed out at the back of the net (downright ignorant comparison). And yes, we do have alliances in NATO which Trump would destroy if he gets reelected.

Yes, and the OP is a bit of an example.

The elephant is the omission of belief. Once upon a time people believed what they heard and trusted persons in authority and that's no longer the case for good reason. Asking questions warrants suspicion or allegations of conspiracy by those who feel otherwise. The other side does the same and the circus continues.

If we were honest with ourselves we'd acknowledge the differences between us and the people we're discussing, the omission of access and likelihood of things occurring we would never fathom. But no one wants to do that. They want to pretend they're in the club or in the know and debate things they couldn't possibly verify.

I don't know if that's the result of social media and the proximity it provides or the misguided belief they're just like us. Trump just told oil executives to raise a billion for him. Do you talk to people who can do the same (not you personally)? Of course not. It's a different league with different rules.

Realists know that. They admit there's things they don't understand and aren't privy to about people who live differently from themselves. And maybe that's the crux. They're not like us and pretending doesn't make it so bad. We're included too and the divide does not exist. But we're lying to ourselves.

No, I don't miss him, but I would like confirmation that the leader of the free world is alive.

...word is he will address the nation Wednesday evening. Then again, it might be AI ; )

The big moment for me was Iraq War II. You had MSM not lying, but to a large extent just going along with the story the admin told. Only Democracy Now and other left side fringe outlets ware really digging to Cheneys behind the scenes hard riding of CIA and others to promote speculative notions about WMDs as fact. NYT notoriously just went along trading press-release type reporting for access.

Anyway.... the problem I see is people have failed miserably since then to sharpen their skeptical skills. Instead theyve just switched their credulity - to anyone who tells whatever story theyd like to hear. People have opened the doors of their mind to flat out liars and malevolent actors. Its vastly worse than before.

It's rumor generation and rumor mongering. The OP quotes a wingnut site that quotes another wingnut site and a wingnut politician. There is zero credibility in this stack of speculation all the way to the murky bottom of the swamp.
Someone wants us to believe Biden really wasn't recuperating from Covid in Delaware or they want us to believe he was not behind his letter stepping down from the election. I have relatives that buy into conspiracy stuff. The look on their face when repeating it is like a hypnotized drone.

Don't be silly. AI can't do that yet. It is advanced Disney animatronics. :p

There's a company that does it. I'd liken them to a digital stand in. You're speaking to the camera but the face and voice they hear mirrors the one you choose. If you wanted to appear like Trump the recording is you (input) but the audience hears and sees him saying the same (output). I saw it on a financial channel last year.

In all seriousness, I think you have your sides mixed up. That line seems more like gaslighting. Personally, I need a new conspiracy theory because all my old ones came true. :tearsofjoy:
Nope, not mixed up.
Second, how do you know that was his voice? :)
I knew I didn't have the desire to consume and live in conspiracy backward.

First, I figure he's fine.
Second, how do you know that was his voice? :)
Gee, surely you’re not suggesting that the President of the United States of America allowed “someone*” to imitate himself for a telephone call to his Vice President’s campaign meeting?

Allowing that to happen would be a great stain on his administration and something no honorable person would contemplate, let alone attempt.

You’re going to want to google the “Texas sharpshooter fallacy”.
