Anyone ever feel like they were lied to by someone when you ask them, "why didn't I get the job?"

Well, I haven't ever felt lied to, but I'm a white male. Generally, we aren't turned away because of our gender and skin color. :/

I applied for a few jobs and I honestly believe I didnt' get hired because I was homeschooled, I dont think you should be required to have gone to public school to get a job. Skellers, have you had a particular thing happen to you? someone not hire you because of a discrimination?

I have learned over many, many interviews that "your job history looks good, your references check out, but you just don't meet our qualifications" translates as "we don't hire disabled folks".

White Female here. And I haven't really applied to any male-dominated jobs, either...

That really sucks I don't think I've been discriminated against. I'm an oriental female, but that may have worked in my favour because my university was trying to look better on their quotas, and I fulfilled both "ethinic minority" and "girls in science" categories!

Skellington, those employers that discriminate will lose out in the end. Because they reject people on the basis of factors that are nothing to do with how well you can do the job. They end up with inferior employees. You'll find someone who will really need and value your skills
