Have any of you job shadowed in the career you want to do? I have a job shadow day scheduled at a hospital. I am sort of nervous! Any tips on how to impress??

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just be attentive and eager to learn.
I learned what I DIDN'T want to do through a job shadowing experience. I job shadowed a graphic designer, and while she was nice, the nature of the work turned me off to it as a career. So I took my artistic interest in another direction, computer animation. It fits pretty well (except there being no such thing as job security).

Yeah, that is what I'm thinking. I might end up hating the career. My thing is I get bored sooo easy.

I get bored WAY to easy. I've changed majors 5 times already. I'm currently working as Children's Ministry director at a church, but working on a MA in philosophy. How those two go together is beyond me.
Just watch and learn. If you like it great, if not no worries. One thing, I will add, no matter what you do in school it will help you later. My business classes have been helpful, so have my computer science classes. They taught me things that I would know from anywhere else.
