• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello,

I had a job interview a couple of days ago and I really want this job so bad. I did so-so on my interview. I did okay on one written assignment but the other one was right after the gruelling interview with a panel and I was so wiped out I didn't finish it at all.

Please pray God will speak to their hearts and encourage them to hire me for this job and in fact offer me the job. I really need it. I can do it. But I'm afraid I messed up the interview. I have to get out of the work I'm in because it's stifling me mentally and emotionally, not good for my bipolar. And I have to take a long train ride and the commute is horrible. Plus I hate this job I have and need out of it, but I am grateful to have one. This job would be a huge blessing and more money.

Thank you for praying even silently. It's so important to me. Thank you Father.

Hopefully I will hear from them next week. I think maybe I have ADHD because I can't stay cooped up behind a desk sitting all day long working on a computer. My brain cannot focus on doing the same thing over and over again. Some people love this job, processing disability claims all day long. I get soooo bored!

I need to get out and do different things, move around, do this, do that, go here, go there. This job would be a tax collector job and I'd have to go out in the field doing collections and managing accounts, doing tax compliance work. It would be perfect for me, the way my brain is wired!

Lord, please deliver this job into my hands, in Jesus' Name. Not my will, but Thine.
