CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I remember when this thread was hoppin'....had alot of fun here folks...
*stands in room alone, can hear the laughter of Tigger, Shalico, WannaWitness, Tins, and many others*
*laughter dissipates into a slight howling wind*
It was always nice for folks to vent, to talk about regular everyday life...to just...have fun...
*hears memory of Rebecca "Hi guys!"*
The ol' place has lost it's appeal...and I can't blame anyone but myself...don't get me wrong, I am thankful for the ones that still come in from time to time...just, I miss how it used to be...I miss how all of us were then...

Jimmy P is my Dad...although it wasn't always that way as known by the world...this site, and this thread, was God's divine appointment for me to receive the Dad I always wanted to have in my life. From day 1 of this thread, which was January 6th, 2014 (also my Dad's birthday!) my Dad has been a loving and caring soul and super fun to hang out with. This thread was nothing short of a Godsend and a wonderful place to be and I'd love for it to be that way again. My Dad was here every day encouraging, caring, and making everyone smile and through his thread here, so many people have had a great time and great friendships have formed. Absolutely would love to see all that continue
So needless to say, this place means a lot to me. And I don't want this place or this thread to die, not now, not ever. There have been so many moments of laughter, sharing, praying, and caring in this thread and there are plenty of people who could use a little bit more of that in their lives now.
So I'm gonna give it another try...cause this is important to me...

Doing pretty well. Been busier than I'm used to as my brother's cafe opened and I'm doing a lot of baking for him. This week has slowed down a bit and I had today off. In my spare time I've been doing some website work and bonding with my new kitties. A few weeks ago my most special cat disappeared...I still miss her SO so much. Like losing one of your kids ya know? Anyway, I couldn't bear the emptiness here, so I went and adopted a couple of kittens - one 10 months old and one 10 weeks old. So between that and spending time with family, I've been pretty well occupied.
