No joke Tins, we used it because it was " heart healthy" and coconut oil was supposed to be bad for you. All those years we were consuming cancer causing man made unhealthy oils. Hydrogenated fat. Go figure...

No kidding! I love Coconut oil, it's great for so many things!! It even works as a massage oil although I prefer grapeseed oil for massage.

Grrrrrrr I can't quote anyone's post again. So I'll respond to each post individually here. First thanks for the link Jimmy. I wrestle with doubts about God or my salvation due to my ROCD and second I love coconut oil too. Healthy and not only good for cooking but for the teeth and other stuff.

I'm only using normal butter for my bread and some other kind of oil for cooking.

Anyhow, it's 2.30 and time goes back to 2.00 in half an hour so technically it's 1.30 am here

Did you know that margarine is like 1 molecule away from being plastic?

And don't have anything that lists Partially Hydrogenated Oil, that's Trans Fat, ick...

I'm just using it on bread, from that link.. and not much either. But maybe the Dutch butter is different and a little less unhealthy..

So true Jimmy, as a nutritionist it drove me nuts to try and convince people of this. They swore by the stuff. It's still hard to eat out and not consume bad fats. Healthy foods cost more unfortunately.

Hello my dear friends,

Wow, this thread has been through so many subjects already today. I see the latest is nutrition. Hmmm, I, too, like butter but Steve doesn't. However, I am going to start using it again like I did back home, I will get my own little container, he can use his vegetable spread. Dr. Jonathon Wright, a former doctor of mine, said that margarine IS plastic and the WORST junk food a person can eat, yet, it is labelled as being so healthy, yuck, no way. I use to work in a health food store, and believe me, some of what the doctors tell their patients is criminal.

As to coconut oil, I have heard nothing but good about it, I think I will see if I can find some and stat using it again. You are right, Rebecca, healthy eating is expensive, especially over here when even "normal" food is expensive. But, getting sick is expensive as well, so, I would rather spend my money on good food and supplements than on doctor bills.

By the way, Jimmy, Dawny's dress is gorgeous, that style of dress would be my dream wedding gown for sure. She sure is a lovely lady.

Yeah, she loox good in just about everything...some things her Great Aunt has sent her, weeeeeellll, didn't look the greatest lol...but most times, she loox pretty cool...like right now she's wearing a pullover shirt that says "Do Not Cross Me"
