Cider? ^_^ Well there is a local mill here that makes the BEST cider ever...then I warm it up, put a cinnamon stick in it, mmm that's so good. Haven't had that in ages. And I've never carved a pumpkin before

Doing pretty well. It has been rainy and cold for days so I've had a quiet week mostly inside...I like those kinds of weeks ^_^

Good choice! That's the perfect time to just chill and listen to some music or watch a movie. Preferably comedy!! ^_^

^_^ Yep...I've watched some TV shows and stuff on Netflix...and listened to a LOT of music as always...did some picture editing...and have done some writing. I wrote a note on Validation and now I'm doing some blogging and I have something ELSE I want to write about. I really do like writing...but my one nuance with it is that I get SO wordy, so I feel kind of bad about that ^_^

I like writing, as well. That's a good way to pass the time and keep busy. As far as being wordy goes, I can tend toward this, as well. Some of my posts in the past on CF are pretty wordy, but this was mostly in the theological discussions, and I don't go to those threads as much as I used to. These discussions, however, are quite interesting as there are so many opinions regarding particular topics, making for some good reading material on one's spare time.

These days, I'm just content to break the ice, play music, and engage in a few games.

And, of course, be there to encourage and pray for anyone who may need it. :prayer:

I've always enjoyed your posts, long or short...and I do love the conversations we have here...those are always nice. I love that we goof off but then can turn around and be serious too.

One topic I'm thinking about a lot lately is "What DID Jesus actually DO?" Because so many times you'll hear "What would Jesus do?" But my question is, what did He do? lol

Thanks. I enjoy them, as well, when I get on. And that's always good to have a good balance of being funny and being serious. There is a time and place for everything, as it states in Ecclesiastes.

Good question. It's actually quite hard to fathom all the things that Jesus did, as the very last verse in the book of John states that there would be no room in the world for the books that could be written (John 21:25). But most importantly, Jesus has done a lot for me in my own life, personally. He saved my soul, answered my prayers, and blessed me with wonderful family and friends, and healed me. And that doesn't even scratch the surface. God is wonderful! :)

Yes, God is wonderful!

One of the things I think about in conjunction with all this is that people will often say "I want to be more like Christ" or "We should be more like Christ" but I think sometimes we don't even realize or think about what Christ was like and what He did. I think people like to take the Bible and make it sound the way they want, while neglecting some parts of it because it's not comfortable. Yet if we look at Christ, He had a lot of love and compassion, but he also called sin for what it was. And He ate with sinners, he fellowshiped with his disciples, he came together once a week with them to have communion, he taught, he healed, he prayed, there were just so many things He did that we forget about!

Not to negate the rest of the Bible especially the NT. But have you ever just gone through and words of Jesus? It helps if you have a red letter bible. After reading His words and maybe a couple of times just sit, ponder and pray what His Spirit might bring to mind.
