I have a serious question. I am pretty upset right now.

You see, I go to a Chiropractor once a week, I have to or I would be almost immobile. Well, the one here (the only one) is good, but today, I saw a magazine that he gets and one of the articles is all about how God is a fake, He does not love it, etc, etc, it was awful, and 6 pages of that crap. I know he is not a believer and almost goes "new age" I am wondering if I should continue to go to him. I would change in a minute if I had another one, but there are none nearby, closest is Christchurch, they have lots, but Steve won't let me do it as he does not want to "waste the gas" each week, plus the other expenses. I think that is mean, I sure would for him. I found two possible good ones there from the looks of the ads on the net, but, he won't take me as often as I need to go, and I am afraid to drive that far. This sooooo stinks. So, I am almost forced to stay with this one.

Should I force Steve to let me change, or should I just stay with this one. He is good, but I have to admit, I am never relaxed, I always feel weird presences there. I don't know.

This is all another reason I want to move back home so badly. The chiros there are great, plus most are Christians, the one my aunt sees is outstanding. I tell you, if crap like this keeps going on, when I go back home, money or no money, I stay. I am tired of no health care here, they are here, but Steve won't let me have access to them.

I am not a happy camper at present.

Ok first of all, are you going back home at all?

Secondly...you HAVE to prioritize your health but if you feel God is telling you to step away from this chiropractor then you should. Perhaps the next time you go to this chiropractor, instead of reading the magazines, sit there and pray until it is time for your appointment. You don't even have to look like you are praying...but just pray and ask God to lead you...or to help you to feel at peace there, etc.

Do you feel uncomfortable with HIM or with the atmosphere there?

You can't force Steve to do anything. Right now it's going to be hard, but I encourage you to focus on your health and God's leading here. It would be very easy for you to allow your negative (and valid) emotions towards Steve and the marriage feed into the negative emotions surrounding the chiropractor issue, but I don't feel that would be very valuable to your decision making here.

How often could or would Steve be willing to take you? Have you sat down and really talked to him about going to Christchurch?

I am sure planning on it.

I am not sure what God is telling me. I will take your advice and sit and pray while I wait, I know I pray while he is adjusting me lots of the time.
Do you feel uncomfortable with HIM or with the atmosphere there?
To be honest, not at all. He sort of makes me nervous, I always make Steve go with me, and the atmosphere really bothers me, but I try to ignore it. I have no one else to go to here.

Yes, you are right, it is easy to mix the two together right now especially.

Well, if I am lucky, maybe twice a month, but I need more, when my atlas and axis is out, I am dizzy, I cry lots, I just almost shut down, but after a treatment, if it was done correctly, I am like a new person. I have told Steve this numerous times, but golly, he just does not get it. I sure have tried to talk to him about this, he does not believe in chiropractors for one thing, and for two, he hates to go to Christchurch. His dad would love for him to visit on Fridays, he used to with Bev (his first wife) but now he won't. He told me he would start again, well, *sigh* he isn't nor does he want to. It would be nice, then I could see one there, but, I doubt if that is going to happen. :(. His dad is in his late 80's, he best start seeing him more and treating him nicer, in all probability, he won't have him too much longer.

Thanks for your ideas and advice, you are such a big help and friend.

^_^ In the end, I read it wrong at first and was like "I'm a big help and a big friend?" ^_^ LOL

You're most welcome

Well I will be praying for you. Maybe you could go to the Christchurch one every other week and go to your local one every other week, switch intermittently? Also if you go to one in Christchurch, maybe talk to the new doctor about stretches and other things you could do to help you in between visits.

That might work, I am not going to hold my breath though, he is getting worse all the time about going, and some chiros like to see you more than one time so they can get to know you ways, etc. Oh well, again, it is in the Lord's hands.:)

Hey Susie, remember I told you my great uncle wrote a march when he was in the military? I just found the piece of music! And I don't think it's my great uncle lol it's by a "W.F. Chauncey" and there are Chaunceys in my family line on one side, but it goes pretty far back. I can't find anything on this W. F. Chauncey dude and certainly none of his music. So what I have here is a rare piece...that's wicked cool...I'm going to have to re-learn it and play it for y'all!
