Hi Gang,

LOL, well, I see we are still on the "gas" subject. HeHe, did we ever leave it though?

Tins, I read what you wrote about the breath of the Lord being in it, that is very interesting, and I agree, He is certainly in all of us. That is why it is so important to take care of yourself and eat right. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

It is a cold, rainy day, more like Fall, but then, it is October, so for me, this is more normal. LOL.

LOL we never leave the gas subject, not when my Dad's around :D

Yeah, the temple of the Holy Spirit...do we realize even what that means? I mean we have Him in our hearts, our lives, our bodies house it. Would we go into a church an desecrate it with junk? Or would we respect that it's the house of the Lord?

Should be the same way with our bodies I suppose...what we put into it or what we do to it should be a reflection of how much we value the presence of God in it...by not taking care of ourselves well I suppose it would be in a way dishonoring or disrespecting a church, only it's our bodies, it's the temple of the Holy Spirit. Those are tough words to hear though because we ALL have things we could do to take care of our bodies better...sleeping more, drinking more water, eating better, exercising, etc...but I wonder where the line is, or if there is even a line...hmmm....or if God even really cares about our bodies THAT much. I imagine He must...

Hey all :)

So I have a couple of thoughts...

In church this morning one thing that came across really cool to me is that we have the breath of God in us...God breathed his breath into our lungs so we could live...

That's pretty astounding, and also makes me think about whatever I put in my body...how it affects that breath...how I take care of myself, how I live my life, that can all affect that breath and it's not really MY breath...it's GOD'S breath...

Then continuing on that thought is another thought...

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

My thoughts on this are that our souls are parallel or perhaps one with the very breath we breathe. Our souls can be bought or sold (by Christ or by the Devil), but we never actually lose them until death, just like we don't lose our breath until we die. When God breathed the breath of life into Adam, Adam became a living soul but without that breath, he was not a living soul. Therefore, maybe our souls are THE breath of God...hmmm....

Feel free to discuss! :)
Ugh, Jimmy, I guess I better repost what I wrote. Tins was not talking about Farts, not this time at least. She was talking about how the Lord breathed into each of us and therefore, we truly have Him within us.

That is why it is so important to take care of our bodies by correct eating, exercise and even thoughts. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Hope that clears things up a bit. LOL

That is so true. I don't think folks really take the time to think about their bodies in that manner. But, being Christians, we DO have the Lord and Holy Spirit in us all the time, it is humbling for sure.

But I'm still sure it's ok to eat chocolate

But I think that's why God tells us to not get drunk...A. because it's stupid and causes bad things and B. because it hurts our bodies. It speaks about gluttony being a sin too, eating too much. Ugh. LOL and it talks about being lazy. I mean, a lot of things in the Bible are outlined for us so that we KNOW how to live in a healthy way that ultimately makes us feel the best we can but MOST of us don't follow that...it's VERY hard.

Awesome, good for you:thumbsup: I think the more healthier you eat, the less you will want the other. Oh sure, you will still want and like it, I sure do, but, the desire won't be so strong.
