CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's 1pm here.
Ok, here's a quandry that still to this day boggles my mind. When flying here from LAX, you lose a day. But flying back from here to LAX you DO NOT gain a day. My first time here, I left NC on a Monday. It was wednesday when I landed. On return to the states, I left Brisbane on a Friday and it was still Friday when I landed in the states.

It's because of the time of the flights...When I flew LAX to Melbourne, I'd leave on a Wednesday evening/early Thursday morning and land there Friday morning 9:30am...on the way back, I'd leave MEL at 9am Friday morning, fly 14-16 hours, and end up at LAX again at 6:30am-ish on Friday morning. It's the time of the flights, not that you lose or don't lose a day lol it just messes with your head

Leave Boston 5pm Wednesday evening, land in LAX 8:30pm their time, of course, that'd be 11:30pm at home...
Leave LAX for Melbourne at 11:30pm LA time, 2:30am Thursday morning EST...
Land in Melbourne some 15-16 hours later at 9:30am Friday Melbourne time which, at the time, was 5:30pm Thursday night EST...
On the way back, would leave 9am Melbourne time (5pm Thursday night EST) and would arrive in LAX at 6:30am PST, which is 9:30am EST Friday morning.
