Didn't realize that was filmed in NC! Are you from New Bern or Wilmington?
Morning all![]()

Kazza Ah-O said:From New Bern......well, actually a real small place East of there but it's rare for anyone to have heard of it, so I just say New Bern. Do you know the area?
If you watch some of the first episodes, there's quite a bit of various scenes using bits and pieces at the Tryon Palace and it's grounds. Lots done at Glenburnie Park down by the river and I think in one of the opening shots, it looked like a flyover of the old Trent River drawbridge.
Hi Shalico, I'm ok. Fighting a sinus infection so would appreciate prayer.
Hello Tins & kazzia

I don't know the area at all haha but I've heard of it and know people from there! I'm from western NC.
Tins said:I have a bunch of friends in NC...Asheville area mostly. I visited Asheville once, it was pretty.
Kazza Ah-O said:Oh it's beautiful in the western part of the state. One of my favorite places there has always been Stone Mountain. The best I can remember, I think that was the name of the little town, too. When I met my Aussie honeybunny, I was in the tentative first steps of planning a move to that area. The Blue Mountains here remind me alot of the Smokies.
Oh, I've been to the Blue Mountains! They remind me of the Smokies, too. It's funny how that happens in different countries. What part of Australia are you in?

Kazza Ah-O said:We live in Queensland. Not far from Brisbane, in Ipswich.
Tins said:I'm procrastinating here...I really should quit that![]()
Oh cool! I don't really remember what Brisbane was like, but I liked Queensland in general. Do you miss NC?
I'm procrastinating here...I really should quit that![]()

Kazza Ah-O said:Not at all. I fell in love with this country the first time I visited. The culture, the people, just everything. This may sound odd, but I feel more at home here than I ever did in any of the places I lived in the states. I'm a citizen here now. This is my home now and I feel like I've always been here.
I do miss grits, though. LOL

I'll remind you later.![]()
