I think it's a good thing, but I'm not sure whether it will happen or not. I asked him the significance of the 18th, and he said "well, the Hobbit comes out on the 17th. Midnight the 17th." I told him midnight the 17th is a whole 24 hours before the 18th, and he said it is just hypothetical.

Good for you BB, I don't know why he would ask if it was OK to propose to you...honestly...he should just do it! Maybe he was trying to see what your feelings were on marrying him or something...sounds like he really wants to be with you though!

Howdy hey!

My husband didn't propose to me...and I wish he had...even when we got the ring, I was the one who picked it up. Eventually we were in his room one night after church just saying goodbye and he decided he'd give me the ring. OOO, romantic. NOT. To this day a secret, hidden part of me wishes he would have gone out of his way to surprise me with a proposal. I still love him and still wanted to marry him of course but yeah I wish he'd surprised me. But he's not romantic like that at all...BB, I hope your boyfriend does better than that...!!!
